Our story

India's stories should not be forgotten.
They should be lived.

Folk Experience LLP was born from a simple idea — that India's stories deserve to be walked, tasted, sung and slept beside, not just read.

What began as a research-led effort to document India's folklore and living traditions soon became a movement to connect travellers with the country's cultural heartbeat.

From village fairs in Jammu to royal crafts in Rajasthan, we partner with the local custodians of culture — the artists, singers, monks and artisans who have preserved India's heritage for centuries. Every journey we offer is a way to make sure their stories, and their livelihoods, continue to thrive.

Our Mission

Immersive journeys, built on three pillars.

Folk Experience curates immersive cultural journeys across India — blending heritage, cuisine, crafts and storytelling into travel that actually means something.

Immersion

Live inside real communities, festivals and traditions — not behind a tour-bus window.

Connection

Meet artisans, monks and village storytellers as guests in their homes, not as spectators.

Preservation

Every rupee supports sustainable tourism that keeps heritage — and livelihoods — alive.

Our Contributions

Preserving heritage through modern storytelling.

We preserve and share India's cultural legacy through engaging content and community-driven initiatives that educate, inspire and empower.

2D Animations

Bringing Indian folklore to life for a younger, screen-native generation.

Vlogs & Blogs

Documenting authentic stories, journeys and cultural narratives from the field.

Community Tourism

Supporting rural tourism, local artisans and disappearing storytelling traditions.

120+ communities servedBy blending culture with modern storytelling, we help preserve heritage while creating meaningful economic opportunity for the people who carry it.
